With this option you can do the following:
Mark an encounter as a follow-up to a previous encounter.
View the information of the previous encounters and select the encounter to which the follow-up belongs.

Rules
Only previous encounters that already have discharge and aren't of a follow-up type will appear as an option (Meetings that were not marked with the check Is follow-up).
Additionals functions
1. Follow-up information from Abstracting
In the Encounter tab from Abstracting option, you can modify or view the follow-up information.
2. Follow-up appointment from Medical schedule
You can also mark a follow-up type appointment from the medical Schedule when confirming the arrival of the patient.
3. Encounters from Nimbo
You can even see as an option in the previous encounters field, those encounters created in Nimbo.
But remember that you need to have the Create Patient Nimbo option checked in the Configuration of Medical Record and have a connection with Nimbo.
