We have improved the Order Set form, where you can now include data for Priority and UOM (if applies) to your requests, as required by chemotherapy protocols where patients need more information for this type of orders.

The current options that can be ordered are:
1) Diagnosis , 2) Drug , 3) Studies & Procedures, and 4) Indications. Two of these options require more information for certain processes where drugs come in one or more presentations (UOM) and hospital procedures must be prioritized according to their relevance.

This are our new features that will solve this chemotherapy protocol issue:

Studies & Procedures

Studies & Procedures option will now include a Priority list where you must select an option from our usual priority list:

  • ASAP

  • Early AM

  • Rotuine

  • STAT

  • Timed

Drugs

Drugs option will also display UOM under the Take option (sending more information about this drug order) and a Priority Rule field where you will be able to select an option from the following:

  • Discharge

  • New

  • STAT

To perform this action, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Order Set window, look for a Patient Encounter and add a new order (+):

2. Select an option (in our example we will work with Drugs and Procedures) :

3. Fill information

For Drugs:

Fill Drug name and data. After entering Take number, look for its UOM presentation on the field below and set the Priority Rule from the list:

Save.

For Studies and Procedures:

Enter Service name and data. Then select an option from the Priority Rule list and

Save.

Your orders will now export information for these fields as well.

To verify this, you can go to Physician Dashboard (physicians only) , click context menu and select Order Sets option:

Select your patient from the list , then select the order sets that you would like to add and confirm:

Your orders will show information from these fields from now on:

Drugs:

Services:

Note:

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
