1. What you need to know

Procedure Schedule is the window for scheduling chairs within rooms that require patients to stay for longer periods of time than other types of ambulatory patients so they will require a room to be reserved for them during their whole stay.

The two types of patients that require these procedures are:

a) Oncology Patients

b) Hemodyalisis Patients

Procedures with these two types of patients require a different level of ambulatory processes where their medications must be delivered by nurses after being prepared by hospitalization pharmacists (instead of outpatient pharmacists) since they will be given a set of medications and procedures during their stay.

To send the orders of medications and services, physician can set an amount - during CPOE - by going straight from this window to Physician Dashboard.

Notes:

  • Unlike Operating Rooms Schedule, trays reservation is not required here.

2. The benefits

  • Scheduling for special procedures will allow you to reserve chairs within

Oncology and Hemodyalisis rooms for long periods of time.

  • Allows you to keep track of scheduled procedures status

  • You can check availability for chairs inside these rooms

  • Calendar interface that will allow you to visualize and edit information easily.
