You can now add Motive and Diagnostic on Discharge Medications window, allowing you to add more information about why is this medication given, and preventing those orders from being rejected by NPHIES due to lack of information.

To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Physician Dashboard, select a patient encounter and then go to Discharge Medications option:

Add a drug by entering its name on Medication option or by selecting the Add icon:

Fill all of the missing information. See that Motive and Diagnostic will now appear below, where Motive is any reason or medical notes to explain why are these drugs required and Diagnostic must be selected from the list of diagnostics related to this patient*.

*If a patient has no diagnostics yet, you can add them in Diagnosis History:

1. On Physician Dashboard, select Diagnosis History:

2. Add Diagnosis by entering its name or by clicking on the add button (top right corner) :

3. Fill all of the missing data; Diagnosis name, Status, Classification - which could be Primary, Secondary or Tertiary) and Type (Discharge, Admitting) , then Save.

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.

Date: August 15, 2022.
