Add insurance information and review coverage with NPHIES

04/19/2021 To confirm that the patient's policy is authorized by the insurer and to know the benefits with Nphies

In Patient registration option after register all general information and saved go to Insurance Information section and click on add button and follow the next steps:

  1. Fill the Company - Insurance name and Member ID and you can indicate if the patient is the Policy holder.

  2. Click on Check Nphies Coverage Eligibility button to start the validation of the policy coverage. On a few seconds Nphies send the response.

3. If the response is Coverage is in-force, click on OK button. You can see next fields filled.

4. Click on View Nphies Coverage Benefits button to know the benefits. Even you can see the cost of each benefit just click on Cost button.

5. Save the record to finish.

When Nphies answer the request you can see a message (one of them).

The message depend on the response of the insurer, other message could be "This policy number is not existing or ID number is not correct". And if the problem is about conection you can see "Error in Nphies response" window call to your staff enginer or IT admin.
