In Newborn Registration window you can create newborn encounters, allowing you to enter their information and to assign them to their mother's encounter. Here we will show you how this functionality works:
Go to Newborn Registration window.
Perform a patient search by encounter*, patient name, date or physician. Results will only display female patients.
*You must register this patient first in Patient Registration and then create their encounter.

4. A new pop-up window will appear, here you can enter the newborn's information (Name, DOB, Age, Nationality, Sex, ID). This patient will automatically assign their mother as close relative for emergency contact information below.
5. After filling this information, click Save.
6. Now, fill the encounter data to create a patient encounter fo the newborn.
