The account statement may be sent to the insurer for approval and validation if required and configured. For this, it is essential that the insurers have a code configured in your organization (business partner) and require the sending of the account statement or else the document cannot be sent to said insurer. The two scenarios for insurers that require the statement are:

  1. Send to insurer

    You can send the extension charges to the insurer at any time in the process and then make the payment (check that extension charges to send are those that correspond with the insurer extension in Multibilling). To do this, select Send to Insurer (if applies in your organization) :

    This will send the patient's statement to the insurer for authorization.

  2. Send final validation to insurer

    Once you have validated all the processed charges, you can send them for final validation (if applicable in your organization and for this insurer) in Send final validation to insurer:
