  1. Assign bed to a patient

In order to assign a bed to a new inpatient, follow these steps :

    • Go to Bed Board window, here you will be able to see three sections :

      a. Search parameters. Where you can apply the Service unit, Bed Status and Patient name filters.

      b. Bed Census. Which is the summarized census of your organization, automatically generated from this window and will include every censable bed.

      c. Bed Board Management. Which is the section where you can view the list of every bed, grouped by service units and in colors that correspond with a different status.

    1. In order to assign a new bed, go to Bed Board Management section and to the service station (you can apply search filters if required). Here, you must select any green bed, which are the ones that are available and clean.

    2. Now, enter the patient name, click context menu and select Assign Bed.

Bed will now appear as occupied and clean, with the name of your patient on it :

  2. Release bed or move a patient

In order to release a bed, during patient discharge, select the bed from the menu. Then click on context menu and select Release Bed :

Confirm :

Bed will be released but it will need to be cleaned in order to assign it again.

If you want on, the other hand, to move this patient to any bed that is not assigned as Alternate Bed, release the bed and then assign their new bed (green beds) to this patient :
