Some patient encounters may have several pending doses that must be administered during their whole stay. However, all of these doses must be given during their scheduled time so eMAR option was displaying all of those pending doses, no matter if they were not to be applied in the upcoming hours, thus causing some slowness in administration when patients had many pending medications.

To improve how eMAR works, we have added two new features that will improve users experience and ease their tasks by also accelerating the time it takes them to administer drugs :

Filter for upcoming doses in the next 24 hours as default

  1. Now, when you enter eMAR window, you will see initially only those medications that are scheduled in the upcoming 24 hours, which are the most urgent pending administrations :

Date Range message

2. Also, you will see in the low bar of this window a new field that will describe the date range of those medications shown :

You can also apply any of the current date range filters, to do so click context menu and select the filters given by Cirrus :

  • Doses scheduled in the next 24 hours (current default filter).

  • All doses scheduled in this visit. To view all of the pending scheduled doses.

  • Doses scheduled between dates. Select date range.

  • All doses administered in the last 24 hours. To see administered drugs in the near past.

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
