There is a checkbox in Warehouse Locators (Warehouse configuration tab) window that enables entering specimen collection data during the application of service orders.

Require specimen collection (default)

With this configuration, you will see in Application of Services how service orders status will now display the collection status of specimen for studies :

And if you click on any of these records to administrate, you will be able to enter the collection information :
