Now, we can set the rules for price increase or decrease when the price from the received purchase orders differ from the original price in Niffler price list. These rules can be set in Factor of Sales Prices window, here's how it works :
In the Factor of Sales Prices* window we can determine price increase - and decrease - rules for products or product categories within your organization based on the sales price factor determined for each category or product. Here we explain more about this window.
For Cirrus to generate new updates on Niffler price lists after the change in purchase price in a Purchase Order with respect to the previous purchase of the same product. This will allow you to update the information and configure* price increases or reductions for these products.
*Only for ECS Staff and personnel with access to this window. Request settings via ticket or chat.
Settings
There are two main settings that must be performed on Cirrus to apply this enhancement to any selected product category or specific products :
1. Configuration of Prices window
In Configuration of Prices we must have the Use Factor and the Use Niffler checks enabled :
By having the Use Factor and the Use Niffler checks enabled, Cirrus will automatically deactivate the Price List box selection from Configuration of Prices :
And the Regulated Price and Price List selection boxes from Configuration of Medical Record :
This to manage any price changes on Niffler and not in Price List window from Cirrus. Cirrus will then update the base price list from Niffler.
Factor of Sale Prices window* :
In Factor of Sale Prices window, we must have configured the header, detail and category of products or selected products to which this factor of increase will apply (in percentage) once the price from purchase orders fluctuates.
To do so, follow these steps :
Header information
Go to Factor of Sale Prices window.
Enter general data for this record : Search key, Name, Description, set as Active and, if applies, set if factor will allow any price reduction from purchase orders.
Save the changes.
Detail Information
Now, go to Detail tab, where you may enter sales price factor details. Here you must perfrom these steps :
Click on New Record.
Enter details :
Line number, which is the order of this record.
Percentage, which is the factor of increase or decrease in sales prices after purchase price fluctuates.
Superior level, which is the maximum price that this factor may automatically assign to any products under its scope.
Set as Active.
Save the changes.
Category tab
Now, let's move to the Category tab, where we must assign all of those categories or products that will be covered by this sales factor. To add a new category or product, follow these steps :
Click on New Record.
Enter product category or product. For entering a new product, select the Product, service or item button, to the right of this field.
Here you must enter a search of products that are stored in your organization. Select this product from the listed results :
Save the changes.
Factor of Sales Prices configuration can also be performed in Price Increase Rules window, from Prices and Products Settings :
Price Update
With these settings, Cirrus will be able to automatically update the price on Niffler base price list.
Example
We created an exercise for the following product :
Panadol 500mg TAB (24) Paracetamol.
This product has two different UOM, with the following selling prices :
Blister w/24 tablets
Price : 5.05 SAR
Tablet w/500MG
Price : 0.21 SAR
This product is covered by the factor of sale prices increase rule, which in our example was created to increase the price when the purchase price raises by adding a 5% more to the price from the new purchase order.
See original price :
Original price in Charge Master window :
So now, we created a Purchase Order where the Actual Price is that of 7.00 SAR.
Then, we performed its material reception :
Cirrus will automatically update the price on Niffler's base price list (Cash Price List) for the received UOM , applying the following logic if the Actual Price from purchase order is higher* than the price from lists :
Actual Purchase Price + Percentage from Factor of Sales Prices = New Price in Price List.
In our example :
7.00 is bigger than 5.05, then :
7.00 + 5% = 7.35 SAR
You can see this information on Niffler's base price list :
And in Charge Master II window, Selling price tab :
*See price reduction example below.
Other Scenarios
Price Reduction
There may be cases when a product reduces its price so Hospitals can also decide to decrease the selling price for this product and to enter the profit margin after the new material reception price.
In order to allow price reductions, the record must have the Allows Price Reduction check enabled in Factor of Sale Prices window.
Or else Cirrus will not allow to complete material receptions for the covered products if their amounts are lower than the current price.
Error example :
See demo :
If this check is enabled, Cirrus will automatically update the price by adding the given configured percentage to the new purchase price :
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
