Now, during the creation of a new year in Annual Clendar Period window, you will see that two new checks appear in the Year creation window:
Create Standard Periods
Open first period (January)
Here we explain how they work and the impact of having them active :
Create Standard Periods will automatically generate the 12 periods (months) for the year that is generated.
Open first period (January) will automatically open the period for the month of January, thus preventing users from having to open it manually.
Example where periods were generated automatically and first month opened :
Note: Opening the first period depends on whether the Create Standard Periods check is active.
If a new year is generated in this window but both checks have been deactivated, users must go to the context menu of the year that was generated and create the periods in the Create Standard Periods option:
And will have to manually open every period (context menu and Period Actions, then select Open Period).
