As a part of the current improvements to the Donations Management process for Cirrus, we have now improved the Donations Report, which will allow users to audit and keep track of every donation and their current balance information.

First, we added two new search filters, which will simplify looking for specific donations :

  • Document Number. Which is the donation document number, it comes from Donations Management window.

  • Patient. Which is the patient name.

You can apply these two or any other filters to perform a donation search.

In addition to this, we added two new sections of columns that will give more details about Donation Policies and the Patient Allocation of Donation Policies. See the new columns here :

Donation Policy columns

First, we added four new columns for donation policies :

  • Document number. Which is the donation document number in Cirrus.

  • Apollo Policy. Which is the Apollo policy number that was created for this specific donation.

  • Start Date. Start date of the donation, which can only be applied once it's valid.

  • Expiration Date. Some donation letters come with expiration date, which is the last date where the donation policy can be consumed and the patient invoices addressed to the donor, here you can track it.

Patient Allocation of Donation Policies

Users can also now track and audit the donation amounts allocated to the patients and their applied amounts information. This due to the following added columns :

  • Allocated amount. The total amount that was originally assigned from the policy to this patient.

  • Reserved. Reserved current amounts for this patient. This is the total covered in an encounter but not yet processed in a Sales Receipt.

  • Applied. How much has been charged to the donor from the encounter charges once invoiced.

  • De-Allocated. Amounts that were unassigned from the original donation allocated amount. Returned/released amounts.

  • Total Reserved. Total reserved amounts for this patient in all of the encounters that this patient may have.

  • Total Applied. How much has been charged to the same donor for this patient and their encounters and that has been processed through a sales receipt.

  • Balance. Allocated amounts - Total Applied.

  • Available. Allocated - (Total Reserved + Total Applied).

You can see the new columns in the downloadable report (click on image to expand) :

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
