Storage specifications for medications and preparation date

04/12/2021 Now you can add light protection (Photosensitivity), storage temperature and stability time as storage information for drugs.

To add these specifications to your products, just follow the steps below. After the instructions, you will find an example.

  1. Go to charge Master ||

  2. Write the name of the medicine, and click on the search icon. The results are displayed in the table "Search results"

  3. Select medicine and the Product Maintenance tab is opened. Slide the scroll bar down and you will find the new "Storage Requirements" section, which contains the following options:

  • Light Protection (Photosensitivity) option: To indicate if your product needs to have light protection.

  • Storage Temperature Combobox: To indicate the temperature at which the product should be stored.

  • Stability Time: To indicate how long the product will remain in good condition. You can enter days, hours, or both; But if you decide to enter a combination, just make sure you put in hours a number less than 24.

Add preparation date

You can also add preparation date to your products. Follow the normal flow to prepare doses.

  1. Go to the Pharmacy dashboard.

  2. Search and select your patient.

  3. Find the drug used, and click on the contextual menu.

  4. Choose the reserve stock option.

The system opens the Prepare Doses window, now you can see the Storage Requirements data in this window too.

5. Click on Quantity to supply Radiobutton.

6.Click on the saved button and close the Prepare Doses window

7. Go to the View Dosage tab and click on the contextual menu. Select preparing meds.

In the Preparing meds window, you will find the fields to add the preparation date.

8. Enter the date and time of preparation, the system automatically loads the current date and time; If necessary, you can add an hour before the current one, but not a date.

9. Finally click on the save icon.

Now the system will be able to calculate the expiration date of the drugs.

Information visible on the printed label

Protection from light, storage temperature, and expiration date will be included in the information on the printed drug label. In case you need to add this information to drugs.

Temperature settings

You can also add your own storage temperature options and their translation. Just follow the steps

Note: This configuration will be reflected only for your company. Make sure that the information in the company and organization fields are the corresponding ones.

1. Go to the Storage Temperature option.

2. Click on the new icon.

3. Write the name with which the option will be displayed and then add its description, you must do it in English; There is an option to add a translation if necessary, you will find it later in this document.

4. Enter Minimum and Maximum temperature, which will include this option.

5. Check the Active option

6. Click on the save icon.

Temperature Translation

Now we will configure the translation for the new option that the Storage temperature will have.

1. Go to the option "Storage Temperature Translation".

2. Select the language for which you want to create the translation. (You will not be able to select a language that you don't have configurated in the system).

3. In the Name field, enter the option's already translated name, this will be your new translated option.

4. In the Description field, enter the already translated description.

5. Check the Active option.

6. Finally click on the Save Icon.

Now you will have a new option to select in Temperature.
