Now when you prescribe a drug or multiple drugs with STAT priority, the system will add automatically a single dose as a frequency.
Just follow the normal flow that you do to prescribe medications, from any dashboard where you arrive at orders.
In Orders:
Search and select your patient's record.
Chose Stat option on Priority Status combo.
Search and Select the drug to be prescribed in the Medication field. You will be able to see that the drug is added to the table, the frequency field automatically takes the single-dose value, it is disabled, and it isn't editable( The duration option is not enabled either).
Save your changes.
When you save your changes, you will get a STAT priority order with a single dose.
Things to keep in mind:
If you choose some other priority that is not STAT, and before saving your order you want to choose STAT, you can do it without any problem. But think about the following:
When changing the priority to STAT, a single dose will automatically add for all prescription drugs. So you will lose the frequency that you have prescribed using the previous priority, for all drugs.
If you do your order with STAT priority but before saving it you change or remove the priority, the system will enable the frequency field so that it can be modified.
If you want to prescribe drugs with different priorities, you need to do it in different orders as follows:
1. Prescribe the first drug and save it.
2.Create a new order, change the priority and prescribe the second drug.
On the pharmacy dashboard, you will be able to see the information from the medical order.
You can confirm that the prescribed medications are single-dose If you click on the medical order
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
