We have implemented a new search filter on every Supply Chain Management window; where product search will be applied according to their user roles and their link with product categories. With this enhancement users will only be able to see those products that are directly linked to their accessible warehouses and prevent them from seeing products that are not directly related to their processes.
The impact will apply to all of the following windows:
Requisition window:
Purchase Order window:
Material Receipt window
Internal Use Inventory
In Inventory Adjustment you will be able to check the Categories assigned for a certain warehouse and assign them on inventory:
To configurate this product category filter you will need to perform the following steps:
Warehouse Assignation
a. Go to Warehouse Locators to edit an existing warehouse:
b. Select Product Category and enter a new Category of products:
c. Save.
Assign Product Category to Role
a. Go to Role window
b. Select Product Category by Role and select a Product Category for that Role.
c. Save to Apply.
