In Outpatient Pharmacy Dashboard, while dispensing a medication dose you will now see a new confirmation window for applying charges. This will allow you to directly send pharmacy charges but it will allow you to pre-save this charges need to be validated first by NPHIES.
If you decide to validate these charges first, they will be saved and exported to UCAF 2.0 and therefore to NPHIES validation system.
Once your team has received a confirmation message by NPHIES, you can confirm the application of these charges.
How it works:
Go to Outpatient Pharmacy Dashboard an click on Create button to create a new medication dispense order:
To edit the prescription find a medication and select it from the list of results. Now enter the rest of mandatory fields and Save.
Check (select) your prescription from the OP menu and in context menu click Pending Order Authorization so those charges can be authorized by insurance companies:
After sending those charges in POA window (By adding them to the order and clicking Send NPHIES), go back to Outpatient Pharmacy window, add the Quantity to supply amount and Save.
You will see a new confirmation window.
Click Yes to create charges and send them automatically or click No if you want to save those charges for any future Pending Order Authorization requests.
