Current medication orders will now display the Validity Days column, allowing user to see for how many days this medication must be supplied (according to its duration).

Here we will show you the entire process where Validity Days column will impact on the following windows:

Physician Dashboard

(For Physicians only)

Medication tab

While setting medication orders, you might enter medication orders at Orders screen. Our system will calculate the validity days according to your requested quantities, check these values on Medication tab. You can also edit these values there or even check every active order:

Validity Days column will now replace Duration column in Medication tab:

To edit these amounts (right icon) please make sure about your medication values that are to be dispensed.

Discharge Medications

You can enter the Discharge of Medications window by clicking on it from the Physician Dashboard's homepage:

Once you have entered, click on create new record, fill all of the relevant information on this new tab and click Save.

The Validity Days will appear in Description:

Active Orders

To check the current Active Orders, click context and then click View Active Orders:

V

This window will now display the Validity Days of every active medication that has been set earlier for this patient (instead of Duration).

Electronic Patient Record

In Electronic Patient Record (accessible through the browser or Physician Dashboard),

you can see this new column in Medications tab:

Validity Days will now replace Duration column; replacing as well the default 0 Automatic value for duration of days, showing now the amount of days of validity of the dispensed medication .

Note:

For Pharmacists this new column will not substitute Duration column yet but it will impact positively on their dispensing processes since physicians will be able to send them the correct amounts of medication for the days that pharmacists will be preparing.

You can see the whole navigation process here:

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
