1. What you need to know
This option is for the exclusive use of Physicians.
If you want to create a prescription, there must be an active patient encounter for adding the prescription to the patient clinical record. The account must be not closed, nor discharged yet.
The prescriptions created in this window won't get invoiced, won't charge the account and wont't affect inventory.
Searching for patient prescriptions:
- You can search for prescriptions that were created from: Outpatient consultation, Prescription from medical discharge and prescriptions created in this window.
- You can only search for prescriptions created in the last three months starting from the most recent one.
When modifying a prescription:
- Only the prescriptions created using this window will be edited/modified.
- The prescriptions coming from a a medical consultation or medical discharge will be excluded from being edited/modified.
The benefits
- To have an option to make prescriptions without the need of a consultation.
- To have the option to reprint and modify prescriptions created in this window.
3. Start a new prescription
To make a prescription for a patient you must have an active patient encounter, otherwise the process will be stopped by the system with an informative message displayed.
