Charges for patients* of those products marked with the Price category will now have their initial prices respected when recalculating their extensions even if there is a price change on Niffler. This will prevent billing and cash users from having their original prices replaced when it was not needed. Here's more information about this improvement and how it works.
Settings needed
Charge Master II*:
To fix any product as a variable one, go to Charge Master II, enter to their maintenance and in General tab select the Price check (System only, clients must request through chat or ticket) :
How this functionality works:
When adding an Encounter Charge (you can get there from Multibilling window by selecting the Encounter Charges option in context menu and from Encounter Dashboard's), you can replace the initial price if these products have the forementioned configuration and if these charges are for any encounter* :
If you cannot edit these values manually then prices will depend on price lists will be impacted by the Niffler change of prices.
After adding charges, save and go back to Multibilling window. Here you can see how the detail shows this amount in Net Price column. To recalculate the extension charges, click context menu and select Recalculate Extensions:
2. Confirm :
* Users can now apply variable charges for both Inpatients and Outpatients.
Price amounts for this type of products will no longer be modified by this recalculation process.

*Works with both Inpatient and Outpatient type of encounters.
**If price is modified in Charge Master II screen then it will be also modified during charges recalculation.

This functionality now works with both Inpatients and Outpatients. Charges can be modified for Outpatient type of encounters if these added products meet the Charge Master II (Price configuration). See example below :
