Notice : This enhancement has been made for one of our clients but it can be adapted to the requirements of any other ECS clients.

Now you can add encounter charges for products, services and medical fees that have our latest subrogated configuration, allowing you to enter agreed costs and prices for every of these charges and to link them to a physician or a supplier. In addition, you will be able to generate and download the report of these charges in the new Subrogated Products Report portal (see link at the end).

If you require this improvement or any of these configurations, request it via ticket or chat.

Required Settings :

  • Price Configuration

    1. In Price Configuration window, select the Configurate Subrogated Products checkbox.

    2. Save changes.

Now you will be able to configurate products as subrogated. Leave Cirrus and go back in to start the product configuration.

  • Charge Master II

In Charge Master II (ECS Staff and Admins only) , create a new product / service / medical fee. In this configuration, select the Subrogated / Medical Fees checkbox.

Save General Data and complete any missing sections.

These products, since they are subrogated, do not require any warehouse or inventory information.

Now you can add the subrogated charges or fees to any current encounter.

To add these charges to the encounter, go to Encounter Dashboard, then select a patient and enter the Encounter Charges option. Then add the new charges in the add button (+). Follow these steps :

A. Search for the forementioned Product/Service.

B. UOM for this type of products will always be Service, even if it is a product, since said medicines are not stored in the hospital.

C. Select Type : Medical Fee or Subrogated.

Now:

D. If you selected Fees, you must enter the name of the Physician for whom said fees are being paid for.

E. Enter the Cost amount (agreed with such Physician ) for the hospital.

F. Enter the Price amount (agreed with the Physician ) to the patient.

Save changes.

D. If you selected Subrogated, you must select the name of the Supplier of said product or service.

E. Enter the Cost amount (agreed upon with the supplier) for the hospital.

F. Enter the Price amount (agreed with the supplier) to the patient.

Save the changes.

After these steps you will have added subrogated charges and fees from this window.

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
