01/30/23 View and filter dispensed meds historic data for patients

You can now filter in Electronic Patient Record (EHR) window every dispensed medication for both inpatients and outpatients. This to give more details about what medications have been dispensed, when were these meds dispensed and who was the user who dispensed them.

A dispensed medication is any medication that has been reserved from stock, prepared and delivered by pharmacists for patient intake (Pharmacist Dashboard and Outpatient Pharmacy Dashboard).

See more details below :

  • Go to Electronic Patient Record, look for a patient by their name and :

    1. Click on Search Encounter, here you will be able to see every encounter for this patient, select any of those encounters to view their data.

    2. Now, in encounter lever, go to Encounter data tab.

    3. Select Dispensed Medications subtab.

    4. You can view all of the dispensed medications and here you can now perform a search to filter these delivered medications, if required. These filters are :

      • Prescription (Drug generic name)

      • Start Date

      • Given (Drug delivered)

      • End Date

      • Dispensed By (Pharmacist user)

      • Dispensed At (Date range)

You can see data for every dispensed medication, such as:

  • Patient Encounter (if any patient has more than one encounter, they will be listed here).

  • Scheduled Date and Time

  • Prescription

  • Given Medication

  • Dose

  • Dispensed (Units)

  • Dispensed At (Service Unit)

  • Dispensed By (User)

  • Administered

While at the encounter level :

To generate and download this report, click on Print: Dispensed Medications and set the download parameters. Report will look as follows:
