For patients with diabetes, you can also determine or select a sliding scale protocol in this same window. You can enter this option by clicking it on Physician Dashboard :
You can select any existing protocol (left column) or create a new one.
To create a new protocol, follow these steps :
Select Insulin Type, which will be the acting type.
Enter name of insulin protocol.
Enter Blood glucose superior limit, Dose, Instructions and Medication.
You can also determine if this was set by physician on checkbox.
Save.
This protocol will now be added to the left column :
