Now, in order to improve the experience of patient admission users, we have enhanced the validations that restrict the change to Date of Birth data of admitted patients. This improvement will allow users to modify the date of birth of patients as long as their admission date is not earlier than two months from current month*, as long as these patients are not for subsequent consultation, in which case admission users should request their edition and the reason for the change to Customer Care since it is sensitive legal information.
*Months in calendar are taken as a reference for this rule, not transcurred 60 days.

Before you could edit the date of birth only when
The patient was still hospitalized and during their first consultation.
This change could only be made in Patient Registration, users could not modify the date of birth through the Quick Patient Registration window.
Now, the rules will apply according to the following scenarios:
For first visit patients
Screens: Patient Registration and Quick Patient Registration
Discharged patients:
✔️Users can modify date of birth when patient has been discharged only if admission date is that of the current month or the past month.
Hospitalized patients :
✔️Users can modify date of birth when patient has not been yet discharged, if their admission date is that of the current month or the past month.
Both scenarios, expired dates :
❌ The user will NOT be able to modify the date of birth if the patient was admitted in the month prior to the past (two months before the current one). In this case, you will need to contact Customer Care with the reason for this change.
