Product Maintenance can be performed only by personnel with System or Admin roles. If you require any special product configuration please request it via ticket or chat.
Product Maintenance option from Charge Master II has an improved option next to the Product field that allows filtering between search for brands and search for generic drugs. This option is called Search in Generics and allows Cirrus to look for product information straight from our database and if you select any of the results given, their values will be automatically imported, prefilling the General Data info for this product.
This feature simplifies the current process for adding new medications since instead of manually filling every field, they can now import the most relevant fields and edit those of UOM, Description, Name and their checkboxes.
When creating a new product, in the Product field you may enter the product name or their key code and Cirrus will search on our database for this product :
A. Field for entering product name or their product code.
B. Search in generics box.
If Generics box is checked while entering the medication generic name, Cirrus will search for it in our database and will import the values from the selected medication :
If not enabled, Cirrus will only display those brand drugs added to your organization :
Once the searched generic drug is selected, the following fields will be autofilled in the general data tab with data that was previously filled in our product database:

In this example, we selected a brand drug and the drug General Data was autofilled, those fields highlighted in green are all those that were autofilled and can be edited :
If any mandatory field is left blank, you will not be able to save the changes until filling them up.
