Pharmacist Dashboard users can now add serial number from the capsule blister packs supplied during doses preparation in order to separate these quantities from the original lot. Cirrus will then automatically create a lot with the combination of these two fields ( Lot + Serial No.) , where 40 is the maximum number of characters allowed for this combination.
This enhancement will improve the drug traceability by allowing users to enter and read the serial number of each medication given by pharmacists. See all the details below :
Serial No. Column
First, we added a column called Serial No. where users can enter the blister or package serial number:
This field will initially appear as locked, it will enable when users select a lot from which they will supply the available meds and enter the quantity to supply from here. Then you can enter their serial number :
After entering the prepared quantity serial number, save changes. Cirrus will run a background inventory movement that will not create any impact in the following drug delivery steps :
Background Inventory Movement
Cirrus will run a background movement inventory where this quantity will be automatically assigned to a new lot, named after the combination of Lot + Serial Number. You can view these details for this product in other windows, such as Charge Master II :
Also in Recent Activity from the same window. In this example, since we have only reserved the stock and we have not yet delivered these meds, they will appear in their current new lot.
This inventory adjustment behaves like our current Reassign Batch screen. However, since it runs as a background process, it will not impact directly on Pharmacists current user flow.
If you complete the delivery of prepared doses, you will see on Recent Activity how these lot amounts moved from their new serial number lot to their next locator :
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
