We have now implemented a button in Discharge Medications for Medication Reconciliation, which allows physicians to view previous medications and to renew any of these orders, improving their prescription processes by importing past prescription values.

To open this window, go to Discharge Medications (Physician Dashboard) and click context menu. Then, select Medication Reconciliation

The Medication Reconciliation window will open, here you will see all of the Active (current) Medications and Previous Medications (e.g. Home Medications patient is already taking).

If there's any previous medication prescription you wish to renew, follow these steps :

  1. Select prescription (you can edit any of these values).

  2. Click Save.

  3. You will see a confirmation message with the prescription to be imported :

  4. Cirrus will pre-load all of the current information for the previous prescription. This will save you time and effort when creating new prescriptions from previous medications. Edit any of these values and Save after your changes.

The new prescription will be added :

Notes :

  • In order to display past medication prescriptions, this prescription must be expired or about to expire (max. 2 days).

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.

Date: July 10, 2023.
