We have now added a new process for setting limit days for prescriptions by organization and according to physician's area. This will allow hospitals to set a maximum number of days for prescriptions to be delivered starting from the date these were prescribed.
Settings needed
Only for ECS Staff - Request configuration via ticket or chat.
In order to set a number of limit days for prescriptions (all or by physician's specialty), follow these steps :
Go to Configuration of Medical Record.
Select Limit days of prescription tab.
A. Enter Organization number of days. This will include general prescriptions for those specialties that do not have a different number set.
B.Enter number of days for Specialties, if required. Here you can apply different amounts for specific specialties.
C. Save changes.
To view this tab, go to Outpatient Pharmacy Dashboard. You will see the following tabs :
Today (default). For current prescriptions that must be delivered today.
Past medications. For current prescriptions that still need to be delivered.
Past Due*. Here you will see all of those expired prescriptions.
These medications cannot be modified nor delivered by pharmacists since they are overdue from their time limit.
*New tab
You will still be allowed to enter these documents but you won't be able to enter these medications for their preparation :
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
