Now you can make receptions of a product or equipment as a fixed asset and once the invoice is generated, the asset will be created within the system
How to do it?
To receive the product and mark it as a fixed asset you can do it from Requisition, Purchase Order, Material Receipt as shown below.
Requisition when adding products, activate the Fixed Assets box and select the corresponding group.
Perform a Purchase Order
(Purchasing Personnel)
Go to PurchaseOrders window and set a new order.
Now add a line of product to detail, mark the Fixed Asset box and select the Asset Group (to which it belongs) and enter the Product name.
Go to Context Menu and then click Document Action, now select Complete:
Send the order to Material Receipt:
Receive the Product
(Warehouse Personnel)
When receiving products, you can a) generate a new order or b) receive an order directly from the Purchasing area. Orders generated by buyers will be listed in your search results. Select it and verify that the product is marked as Fixed Asset and that it belongs to an Asset Group.
Once you have received the product in the warehouse, add the product model and its serial number. Save and complete your reception process (Context window, Document action and Complete):
Invoice Generation
You can automatically generate an invoice after receiving your products, click context menu and Invoice (Supplier). Then enter the requested invoice number to generate it:
To complete your invoicing process, enter a selected invoice. Now go to Document Action and click on Complete.
Remember that for the use of products classified as fixed assets you have to have the following configurations.
Settings
Asset Group
Create the asset group for Fixed Assets (See Image)
1. Go to Asset Group window.
2. Create New Record and change view mode.
3. Enter Asset Group data (Search Key, Name, Description, Comments, set it as Active and check other boxes if apply).
4. Save changes.
Product Category
Create the Product category of Fixed Assets with its corresponding accounting (See Images)
Go to Product Category window.
Create New Record.
In Product Category tab, fill up Product Category information and in Asset Group field select the added group for this category.
Save Changes.
To add accounting accounts, go to Accounting and match the accounts :
Charge Master II
Add products with the Fixed Assets Product Category.
To add a new asset product that belongs to this product category and asset group, repeat the current product adding process but in Product Category select the category that you created :

The management and accounting control corresponding to the monthly or annual depreciation and the retirement of the asset can be carried out through the Accounting Policy function.
