Now, in order to prevent users from prescribing orders that will be sent to Pharmacy with wrong date information, we have added a new date validation that will avoid selecting past dates in Prescriptions*. This will allow pharmacists to receive only orders with correct date information and to deliver these doses accordingly. See more details :

*Except for ER Medications, where users can still set past dates for medications that were delivered.

If Physicians set a new drug order with past dates (e.g. one day before current date), they will see the following message while saving changes (The date cannot be prior to the current date) :

And if you try to modify a current active order with a past Start Date, this same error will be displayed :

Only current and future start dates are allowed in the Start Date field.

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.

Date: September 13, 2023.
