09/13/23 New rule for rounding up when delivering a different UOM than the original order

Now, in order to allow warehouse users the delivery of whole units of measure to other locators, we have implemented a new feature that instead of displaying unit fractions, will round up quantities to units and thus allowing them to set manually the quantity to be delivered when the requested UOM is not available. See more details below.

If users from any locator create a product request (Request of products window) with the minimum available UOM (e.g. Tablet) but this quantity does not hold the number of units available in any other UOM, Cirrus used to create fractions for this other UOM (e.g. Blister).

This same order example in reports :

Example.

We created a product requested with the following data :

Paracetamol - 10 Tablets W/500 MG

Other available UOM : Blister W/24 Tablets

If the delivering warehouse has this UOM available, they will see this same units in Quantity. If not, Cirrus will round up this quantity to 0 or 1 since 10 tablets is just a fraction of the whole blister (10/24 = 0.4166).

So if this delivering warehouse does not have this product minimum UOM and must deliver the other UOM available, they will see that the Requested Quantity changed to either 0 or 1 and must set the quantity to supply from lots and then this same amount in Requested Quantity :

By doing this, Cirrus will prevent users from trying to deliver fractions of warehouse units.

Notes:

  • This enhancement will only apply for products stored by lots since users must select a lot with the available UOM.

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
