Some warehouse users are used to having the same stored products (with same keys) but with different descriptions to differentiate them from other batches. To do so, they used to create multiple Purchase Orders in order to receive this same product since Cirrus was not allowing them to add repeated lines of products. Now, you can do this if your hospital has the configurations for it and if you set a different description for every product line. See details :
Settings needed
Only for ECS Staff - Request via ticket or chat if needed.
In Improvement Settings, your organization must have the Use the repeat product in purchase order check active :
With this, you can perform the following actions :
In Purchase Orders, you will be allowed to add lines to the order with repeated products (e.g. Panadol Tab 24 Paracetamol ) if their description is different from the current lines or not blank .
See example with two lines with the same product :
After completing the purchase order, you can create a material reception where these two lines will be kept and so their descriptions (see gif for full process) :
Notes :
If you try to add repeated lines without different description, you will see the following error :
There are similar records. Check products.

New Lot column in Material Return
Now, in order to give more details during the material return process for products with multiple lots, we have now included a new column to the Material Return pop-up window that appears when a completed reception will be partially or entirely returned (Material Return button) :
With this column, users can select more easily the quantities to be returned when there is a completed material reception for multiple batches.
See demo :
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
