Cirrus has a window for setting Clinical Decision Support alerts and messages that will be displayed on every clinical process window (e.g. Physician Dashboard, Nurse Dashboard, forms) when required. By adding these rules, you can make sure that the organization members receive clinical decision alerts, warnings and notifications for managing some patient processes.

Here's the step-by-step of this configuration.

Settings Needed

In our example we created a Risk Factor warning for Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 with the following criteria :

  • Diagnostic rule for an active Diabetes Type 2 diagnostic.

  • Demographic rule for Age (35 years old or more).

If any patient meets this criteria, users will see our message suggesing them to do a Hemoblogin A1C (HbA1c) Test.

Example

Now, in order to display this message we created a test patient and added a Type 2 Diabetes diagnostic.

This is where warning messages will appear :

And if you click on it, you will see the message that we filled in the protocol header :

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.Date: June 12, 2023.
