Cirrus has an automatic replenish functionality that improves the management of warehouse inventories by generating requisitions with the required quantities every time this process runs from Automatic Replenish (EOQ) window.
However, this functionality has been considering open requisitions and open purchase orders, which are those orders that are not currently in stock, as part of the current stock so Cirrus was discounting those quantities from the requisitions generated.
Now, our clients can choose from whether they want these open amounts to be subtracted or not from requisitions, thus generating new requisitions according to the amounts that you wish to keep in stock. See our two scenarios below.
Discount Open Quantities on Replenish (enabled)
With this checkbox enabled on Improvement Settings, you will allow users to keep quantities from open purchase orders and requisitions as part of the current inventory.
Note : This checkbox will appear as checked as default. Request any changes via ticket or chat.
So if your product has any replenish type configured but has currently any open requisitions or purchase orders, Cirrus will subtract these quantities from the new order :
E.g.
We created an EOQ for a product that has no quantities on hand but requires a safety stock for this warehouse.
Quantity on hand : 0 units
Open Orders : 5 units
Safety stock : 500 units
New requisition : 495 units (500 - 5)
Cirrus subtracted those open orders quantities from the new requisition :
Disabled Open Quantities on Replenish
With this checkbox turned off, Cirrus will no longer discount open quantities from the Automatic Replenish requisitions so Cirrus will only consider the available stock on hand before requesting replenish.
Note : This checkbox will appear as checked as default. Request any changes via ticket or chat.
In our example, we have an open order for 5 units that were requested by this same warehouse. However, this example product has a Safety Stock of 500 so Cirrus will automatically try to request what's missing from the quantity on hand (or available).
Even with open orders, Cirrus will no longer consider these amounts as part of the stock on hand :
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
