Drug labels can be printed from both Pharmacist Dashboard (for Inpatient) and Outpatient Pharmacy Dashboard (for Outpatients). These labels include very important details about the patient and about the medications dispensed from pharmacy.

However, the outpatient pharmacy labels were displaying the date and hour of patient's admission in the Date section instead of showing the time when these meds were given to the patient, stopping patients from seeing when was the exact hour when they received these medications.

This could lead to misinforming the patient about when is the initial date for them to start taking their medications so now we have improved data from this label to display the date and time of when these medications were dispensed by pharmacists (once the charges are created).

Date and Time fields appear in the printed label, now they will no longer display admission information but dispensing date and time :

With this enhancement, patients will now be informed about when they received the given medications.

Clinicians can view the date and time of dispensed medications in Electronic Patient Record if the charges for the medications were already created :

Outpatient pharmacists can also see this information in the Dispensed Medications option (medication's context menu) once these medications are charged :

This date and hour appears in the Charged at column :

Notes :

  • Inpatient Pharmacy labels will still include the date and time of patient's admission.

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.

Date: November 6, 2023.
