When a product has the Lot check selected in the Charge Master II window, Cirrus asks users to select which lot each inventory adjustment quantity will go to, this lot information is kept until the medications are administered by Nursing to the patients on eMAR and the movement is made only for the selected lot. However, there was an error that allowed inventory adjustments to be made after users activated the Lot check (happened in Inventory Adjustment window) even when these products did not have lots configured, an error that was transferred to the eMAR screen where the Nurses could not administer this medication as they were required to indicate the lot of the prepared doses.
Now, when a product has the Lot check configured (see example), inventory adjustments will not be allowed if this product does not have lots.
In this scenario we will see that the Inventory Adjustment screen we will see that Lot (when a product is managed in lots) displays Not Available since there is no lots for this product and it is necessary to add the lot or lots first (for example, in Material Receipt window).
If we try to adjust the quantity counted in packages or units we will see the following error once we click save:
Thus preventing inventory errors from being transferred from the warehouse to the eMAR window.
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
