Current Procedural Terminology, more commonly known as CPT, refers to a set of medical codes used by physicians, allied health professionals, nonphysician practitioners, hospitals, outpatient facilities, and laboratories to describe the procedures and services they perform.

Specifically, CPT codes are used to report procedures and services to federal and private payers for reimbursement of rendered healthcare.

Since hospitals may accumulate dozens of configured products (procedures and services), we have now implemented a new button that will allow users to update the CPT codes for every product within your organization. See here how.

In the Charge Master II window, click context menu and select the Update Products option :

The importer pop-up window will open, where you may enter a csv file with the list of products to be updated as in the example below (first column is Key and second column is Description or Code) :

See that the Import format for this case will always be Update Products by Column :

You must import the csv file from your computer and confirm. Then validate the lines imported and confirm again :

A new window will open, where you must make sure that the column is CPT Code (automatically selected, cannot be changed) and you must set if you want to replace any older imports for these products. Then confirm.

If the CPT codes were successfully updated, you will see a confirmation message.

We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.

Date: February 12, 2024.
