Cirrus will now have a new validation for allowing users to create new charges for both Outpatient and Emergency Room encounters. Now, with a new configurable option in Configuration of Medical Record called Hours to create charges OP/ER, hospitals can now restrict the hours where users can create Outpatient and ER charges after the patient admission. This will give more traceability and deliver an improved feedback about when to generate OP/ER charges.
See here how to configurate this and its impact on charges creation.
Settings
First, we need to go to Configuration of Medical Record and in Hours to create charges OP/ER, enter the maximum of hours where users can still create new ER/OP charges :
Save the changes.
Warning message
Now, after having this limit in hours configured, Cirrus will consider the Admission hour from which it will allow to generate more charges. See examples :
If the ER/OP encounter has passed this limit in hours (e.g. more than 12 hours), Cirrus will not allow them to generate new charges :
Users will see the following message :
Hours to create charges OP/ER is exceeded.
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
