The Charge Master II window has a product importer that allows you to update column data of multiple existing products in your organization at the same time by allowing you to import the list of products in a .csv format.
To this importer we added two new column import options: Tax Category and Drug Classification. For each product, you must specify its search key and in the second column the new category of the product (whether tax or product).
See here how to perform this update for either category.
Tax Category
In our example we made a csv for a product with the search key 27004350 and the new tax category for it (it must exist in the system so it can be updated), which in our example will be Tax Free.
Then we must enter the Charge Master II and in the context menu you must click on Update Products :
Here you must import the csv format to import (from your computer). Then, validate that the fields have been filled out correctly and confirm.
You will see that two new column options to import have been added, in this case select Tax Category and confirm.
If the import was successful, you will see the following message:
If it was not done successfully, Cirrus will download the same .csv file that you uploaded but with a new column, showing the error for each product.
Drug Classification
To modify the product classification of several products, the process is the same as in the Tax Category, with the difference that the second column of your csv file must contain the new classification with the category for each product (these categories must already exist in Cirrus) and in the column to be imported you must select Product Classification and confirm.
