We previously released an enhancement to forms authentication that allows users to select who authenticates each form - which is typically a process performed by physicians within the organization - . This allows you to confirm who is the user reviewing each form and then print that information on downloaded reports.
However, for hospitals that do not require this process, this was an additional step to their processes, especially when the user who completes the form is the same one who authenticates it.
To fix this, we added a button in the Cirrus settings that will allow us to enable or disable the authentication enhancement and thus enable or disable the manual selection of the user who authenticates the forms.
See all the details here:
Settings Needed
In the Configuration of Medical Record* window, the Forms Authentication by user checkbox has been added, which will enable the previous improvement of manual authentication. When disabled, the previous validation of automatic form authentication will be respected.
*Only for ECS Staff, request configuration via ticket or chat. It does not need any further configuration for clients who already use this functionality.
Impact in Forms
With this check on :
If this check is on, when entering the forms you will see that the Authenticated field appears blank, which will force users to select the user that authenticates such form:
If you proceed to save the changes without first selecting the authenticating user, you will see the following error (Please, select an option):
With this check off :
When this authentication check is not activated, when entering a form, the authenticating user will be automatically loaded (with the user who has logged in), thus it will not be necessary to select it manually unless it has been authenticated by another person :
