In order to improve the management of Fixed Assets, we have launched several improvements to all configuration processes and saving of asset information as well as to their import.
See all the improvements released here:
In Asset Group, Account and Class will no longer be shown
On the Asset Group screen there were two buttons that were no longer required for the management of fixed assets: Account and Class.
Now, they will not be shown anymore.
User in charge of asset now shown in Asset window
When a Transfer of Fixed Assets is made to another service station, the user in charge of said fixed asset at that service station will now be saved on the Asset screen. Until now, a bug prevented the saving of said user information:
Manually fill up Asset Cost Detail
In the same Asset window, you can now fill in the Asset Balance data manually. This could previously only be filled out by our staff via support or through the importer.
The fields that you can fill out in this tab are:
Asset Cost
Accoumulated Depreciation
Posting Type
Quantity
Asset Depreciation Date
Period Posted
Accounting now taken in Assets Importer option
Finally, we corrected an error that did not allow accounting account information to be imported even when these fields were imported:
Now, Cirrus will take these fields into account if they were filled out in the import file:
Part 2 : Handling of Fixed Assets
June 24th, 2024.
The second and last part of the corrections and improvements that will allow the entire Fixed Assets module to be used correctly includes the following:
Search by asset name
Previously, the search for fixed assets in screens such as Fixed Asset Transfer was based on the name of the product in the Charge Master II:
But there may be cases where the Fixed Asset is called differently than the product related to it (see example):
So to optimize the search for fixed assets, the search will return the product name on the Asset screen and not the product name in Charge Master II:
Assets Depreciation Improvement
In order to generate the Asset Depreciation calculation, we made several improvements visible to ECS Staff, which will allow us to perform depreciation for current year periods.
First, in Document Type, Fixed Asset Depreciation will now appear available as an option that can be configured as a document type to the Annual Calendar Period :
Thus allowing us to generate asset depreciation calculations for the period of the current year selected :
We hope this improves your Cirrus experience. Remember to share this information and ask for help if you need it.
